Bed & Breakfast Ciconia is in the rural hamlet of Zyfflich in Germany, between
the river Waal and nature area the Duivelsberg (Devil’s Mountain). The place is not remote though: Nijmegen is at a distance of about 30 minutes by bicycle (or 15 minutes by car). The towns of Beek-Ubbergen, Kranenburg and Kleve are near by as well. |

Nature in the region is both beautiful and divers: hills, woods, brooks, meadows,
moorland, and the river Waal boast a variated oasis of natural beauty and peace.
The surroundings invite to all kinds of great walks and bicycle tours in pure air.
One of the well-known Pieterpad stages passes through the village. The Wyler Lake
and Wylerberg Lake are at a stone’s throw from our house, and near by are the
Ooij polder, the nature areas Gelderse Poort, Duivelsberg, and the German Reichswald. The Zyfflich region is famous for its storks that have nestled there. From time to time they fly over our house, which is therefore baptized “Ciconia” – meaning ‘stork’ in Latin. |

The cities of Nijmegen and Kleve offer many opportunities to go out
and to go shopping.
